藝術家在學習時期的畫風游離於自我表現與師承之間，畢業後則以自我性格形塑的獨特風格踏入藝壇。本展以國立臺灣師範大學典藏的美術系留校作品、結合高雄市立美術館典藏的臺師大校友近代創作。從經歷教育的養成而至形塑個人的風格中展現藝術家豐富且動人的創作軌跡。

About the exhibition:
As a rule, an art student’s work oscillates between self-expression and the style of his/her teacher. After graduation from the art school, he/she gradually develops his/her own unique style, with which he/she becomes a mature artist. The exhibition presents selections from the collection of the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University—works by its outstanding students during their studying at the university, as well as works from the museum’s collection—later works by the same artists. The works on view offer an interesting comparison for viewers to observe the processes of the cultivation of the featured artists and the formation of their distinctive styles.
