Employing an architectural vocabulary of folding, restructuring, and redesigning, CANYON OF LIGHT transforms panels of discarded containers into a journey for exploring regeneration, light, shadow, and nature. It features an environmental installation that embodies both sensory experience and a spirit of sustainability. Shaped like a canyon, the overall space takes the form of a folded-plate structure that gradually unfolds upward. The layered structure evokes imagery of earth fissures or erosional harbor landscapes shaped by sea winds. The entrance, located at the opening of the folded panels, leads visitors into a cave-like space built from reclaimed materials, where they may immerse themselves in material textures and the interplay of light and shadow.
