White water:

White Water, as surfing terminology, refers to waves in broken form indicating the close arrival of waves on the shore, the destination of the surfing journey. Yet for surfers who go into the sea and look for the wave, it is departure of another journey.
Three 20-feet containers are cut into 4 parts each, reconstructed into one piece, and create a misled space by changing the height of every section. The exploration in the ascending interior space of the container turns from complexity to lucidity at the point of stepping out of the top. It is a grandstand view of the whole Asian New Bay. Visually, the artwork resembles white water up and down, while visionally the white water reflects the bay of Kaohsiung, historical and contemporary with clear interflowing traces that mark people’s encountering, stopping, gathering or separating. In the other aspect, it is a wish for the city to stay calm and carry on in the changing tide of times.
The audience walk inside as if being in the miniature of the city bay. They can freely set off for adventures with hope, rest their minds in certain corners, climb up step by step, thus foresee the future and return to the presence in the glory of harvest.
