This exhibition, titled "Painting Within Painting," showcases Chern Shenson’s artistic journey over the past 20 years since he returned to painting and re-established his connection with his homeland in 2004. Chern not only expresses his emotions through the scenery but also uses creativity to transform and refine the colors and light of the scenery into new visual elements in painting. In this process, he engages in a battle with the unknown and unfamiliar aspects of painting. This is what Chern Shenson refers to as "Painting Within Painting," the vital source of energy that drives the artist's unwavering dedication in front of the canvas.
