Window Display:Shu-Min Su Solo Exhibition
2018.11.17 - 2019.01.13
KMFA Galleries 403, Multi-Purpose Room
Window Display: An Urban Language
The spatial dislocation of the décor in showcase windows and street scenes in the glass has become Su Shu-min's uniquely personal creative material. Her vibrant patches and intersecting lines in all directions freeze space and time on the canvas, making viewers involuntarily wonder, "What is real?" The long colored patches and text traversing the canvas are a key element, and divide the scene into different spaces. The real and illusory reflect each other, creating an aesthetic of unreality like thin ice. The works also convey the artist's inner wonder when she stopped in front of showcase windows in different cities during her travels.
