Mobile Reality—A Duet Exhibition of Works by Chou Jen-jiun and Liu Yao-pin

2018.11.17 - 2019.01.13 KMFA Galleries 401-402

Photography is one of the media for artistic expression. Through post-production, contemporary image art breaks the monotonous dimension of “That has been” in traditional photography. The two photography artists, Chou Jen-jiun and Liu Yao-pin, in this exhibition have applied a combination of post-production techniques such as image reproduction, collage, and overlapping to break down the reality and reconstruct another reality in a process much like the dialogue between viewing and reviewing. Based on two major themes, this exhibition displays six series of photographic works that not only represent the continuity of “time and memory” in the course of human life but also reinterpret the nature of “That has been” in photography through the artists’ reproduction of the existing reality to reassemble and recreate another reality.
